I’m back once again with the three best teams to back on the UNDER. Scoring is down across the league. While everyone knows it and many books have adjusted, there’s still several teams that are cash cows when it comes to betting the UNDER.

Some of the teams on this list are repeat offenders, but if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Here are the three best teams to bet the UNDER on this year.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-1)

It’s surprising to see Tom Brady on this list, but here he is. The Bucs are here because their defense is a great one. Tampa Bay has kept its opponents to 21 points or fewer in every game except for one (Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs were the exception). They give the offense every opportunity to win the games and put points on the board, but the offense just hasn’t done that.

Tampa Bay is 26th in points per game and in yards per play. The Buccaneers aren’t efficient or explosive, leaving them as one of the worst offenses in the league. Until we see a dramatic change, Brady is worth the fade.

Denver Broncos (6-1)

The Broncos were led by Brett Rypien last week, losing 16-9 to the New York Jets. Denver has the worst scoring offense in the league, but the third-best scoring defense in the league. That’s the perfect formula for UNDERS. Outside of a “offensive explosion” of 23 points against the Raiders, Denver has had nothing good going for its offense all season long.

Even with Russell Wilson back this week, the Broncos are going across the pond to play in London. They’ll be off their normal schedule and facing one of the better defenses in the league. There’s no chance I’m betting the OVER this week.

Indianapolis Colts (1-6)

The Colts have the same story as the other two teams on this list. They have a bad offense and good defense. Indy is 30th in points per game, but 13th in opponent points per game. Even with Jonathan Taylor back, this is the perfect time to continue backing the UNDER.

Indianapolis just benched Matt Ryan in favor of Sam Ehlinger (Hook ‘Em by the way), who will be making his first NFL start. This is a young quarterback on a floundering team that will be forced to lean on his running back and defense to make plays.

The quarterback matchup this week will be Taylor Heinicke vs. Sam Ehlinger. That’s all you need to know to back the UNDER.
