The first two weeks of the college football season are in the books and there has already been rapid movement in the betting odds to win the Heisman Trophy.

Bryce Young skyrocketed up the odds list and is now the betting favorite, while D.J. Uiagalelei’s odds have fallen off a cliff.

Despite the movement, there are plenty of names on the list who offer great value and should be considered dark horses to win the award. Here are the top three.

Odds are courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Desmond Ridder (Cincinnati) +2000

No player from a non-power five conference has ever won the Heisman Trophy, but if anyone is able to achieve the feat, it could very well be Desmond Ridder this season.

He’s completed 72.3% of passes this season, throwing for 538 yards, six touchdowns, and only one interception. His Heisman odds will go hand-in-hand with Cincinnati’s odds to make the College Football Playoff. If he is able to have big performances in wins against Indiana and Notre Dame, he should be among the Heisman favorites.

His chances will hinge on the next two games. If you’re going to buy stock on Ridder, do it now.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson (UCLA) +4000

UCLA has exceeded expectations through the first few weeks of the college football season. The Bruins crushed Hawaii in Week 0, and then beat LSU from the SEC in Week 1. They had a BYE in Week 2 and are now set to face Fresno State in Week 3.

Thompson-Robinson has played a large part in UCLA’s early success, throwing for 390 yards and four touchdowns. If he can keep up this level of play when UCLA enters Pac-12 competition, he could prove to be the best quarterback in the conference and maybe even the country.

He has a long way to go, but if you’re confident in the senior’s ability, now would be the time to bet on him before favorable matchups the next two weeks.

Jack Coan (Notre Dame) +8000

Notre Dame has barely escaped with wins through its first two games, but Jack Coan has been solid at quarterback. He’s completed 69.1% of passes for 605 yards, six touchdowns, and two interceptions.

If he can limit his turnovers the rest of the way out, he could be a potential finalist for the award.

His odds will also improve if the Fighting Irish can continue to win, but after narrowly escaping games against Florida State and Toledo with wins, Notre Dame fans confidence can’t be high heading into Week 3.
