49ers vs. Broncos Best Anytime Touchdown Scorer Picks for Sunday Night Football
By Ben Heisler
We've got a very intriguing matchup on the board for Sunday night when the 1-1 San Francisco 49ers face off against another 1-1 squad in the Denver Broncos.
The 49ers earned their first victory of the season last week vs. the Seattle Seahawks with longtime starter Jimmy Garoppolo coming into the game in relief of Trey Lance. Meanwhile, Denver also got its first victory, but it wasn't pretty as the Broncos survived at home against the winless Houston Texans.
Let's take a look at the latest odds on the board.
49ers vs Broncos Odds for Sunday Night Football
BetSided's Peter Dewey and Iain MacMillan have you covered on betting tonight's game with their top betting picks and player props, but let's have some fun and go after some big paydays in the anytime touchdown props market.
Here are my top three picks to get in the endzone for Sunday Night Football.
Best Anytime Touchdown Scorer Picks for 49ers vs. Broncos
- Albert Ogwuegbunam +420
- Jimmy Garoppolo +1000
- Kyle Juszczyk +700
Albert Ogwuegbunam +420
Denver's starting tight end only was only targeted twice in its Week 2 win over the Houston Texans, but he's arguably the most athletic player on the field and Russell Wilson has never shied away from throwing to tight ends in the red zone in his career.
Albert "O" ran a 4.49 40-yard dash at the combine, and even was mentioned as a prime receiver in Nathaniel Hackett's offense in the preseason.
He's still running the bulk of the snaps for Denver, and caught five of six targets in the opening game. He's a nice under-the-radar option for the Broncos this evening.
Jimmy Garoppolo +1000
I might be a little too invested in my Jimmy G anytime touchdown props across multiple sportsbooks today, but I can't help it. The number is way too high for someone who's a trusted goalline option for the 49ers!
As I wrote earlier for our "Sunday Six," article, I start my research for anytime touchdown bets by looking at carries from inside the five-yard line. After Antonio Gibson of the Washington Commanders, four players are tied with three carries: Jamaal Williams (Lions, 2 TDs), Joe Mixon (Bengals, 0 TDs), Jalen Hurts (Eagles, 2 TDs), and Jimmy Garoppolo (49ers, 1 TD).
I got him earlier at +1100, but I certainly won't scoff at 10/1 odds for him to get in at least once.
Kyle Juszczyk +700
Similar to Garoppolo, the 49ers love Juszcyk in goal line situations, both as a fullback dive option, as well as when the quarterback rolls out in play-action.
There's always a specific purpose for "Juice" when the ball is in his hands, and more often than not, those situations come very close to pay dirt. In 52 career rushing attempts, he has five touchdowns, as well as 13 receiving touchdowns.
We've already seen him vulture a touchdown away from Jeff Wilson earlier this year, so might as well bet him to do it again when we know Kyle Shanahan is willing to call his number!
