The Denver Broncos reportedly have hired Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett as their next head coach, and could that be the the sign of more things to come from Green Bay?

Hackett has a strong relationship with Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who could be traded this offseason by the Packers. Green Bay and Rodgers were bounced in the divisional round of the playoffs despite earning the No. 1 seed in the NFC this season.

While there aren’t odds at WynnBET Sportsbook for Rodgers’ next team, BetSided’s Brian Giuffra hypothetically set them at +150 prior to the hiring of Hackett.

Here’s just how Rodgers said he feels about Hackett back in the 2020 season:

Hackett has gone somewhere, so now is it Rodgers’ turn to do the same?

The Broncos offer a serious lure for Rodgers, as they have a plethora of young weapons on offense including receivers Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, Tim Patrick and KJ Hamler as well as tight end Noah Fant.

Not only that, but the Broncos got major production out of rookie running back Javonte Williams in the 2021 season and finished with a top-10 defense in the NFL. Sounds like a pretty good fit for Rodgers, who would certainly fix Denver’s biggest weakness at the quarterback position.

The biggest con for Rodgers in coming to Denver is the strength of the AFC West, as he’d have to play Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert two times a year each, as well as the Las Vegas Raiders who made the playoffs in the 2021 season.

Rodgers played in one of the NFL’s worst divisions in the NFC North this season, but maybe he wants the challenge of dueling with Mahomes for the AFC West crown.

The Broncos have made their play for Rodgers by hiring Hackett, now it’s a matter of time before the Packers and Rodgers decide whether their future will be together or separate.
