Best Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bets for Alabama vs. Tennessee
- Jabari Small, Tennessee (+110)
- Bru McCoy, Tennessee (+115)
- Jase McClellan, Alabama (+165)
Jabari Small, Tennessee (+110)
Small is in a timeshare in the backfield with Jaylen Wright, but it's been Small who has received the big volume around the goal line, rushing for six touchdowns on the season.
Alabama's defense is as formidable as they come, top 10 in defensive line yards, rush yards allowed per carry and red zone touchdown percentage, but with a total in the 60's and at + money Small is an attractive option.
Yes, Hendon Hooker is a possible goal line rusher at quarterback, but I think the veteran is going to look to avoid contact when he doesn't need to and Small gets a goal line chance to punch one in with a total in the 60's.
Bru McCoy, Tennessee (+115)
Tennessee was hoping to get Cedric Tillman back from a high ankle sprain for this marquee matchup, but he is trending towards missing the game. However, McCoy has begun to emerge as a reliable pass catcher in Knoxville after last playing in 2020 with USC.
McCoy has 20 catches on the season and two touchdowns as his target share has gone up since Tillman has been on the sidelines. Over his last two games McCoy has 12 catches and has gone over 100 yards receiving in both.
Jase McClellan, Alabama (+165)
While Jahmyr Gibbs is the primary back for the Crimson Tide, McClellan is more than capable of finding pay dirt.
McClennan has at least five carries in every game and has double digits in two games. On the season, Gibbs out-paces him 64 carries to 45, but the difference between the two is wild when you see that McClellan has three touchdowns to Gibbs two.
Gibbs is -430 and McClellan is +165. That is way too big of a difference and I'll happily play against the idea that Gibbs is the lone touchdown scorer out of the backfield.
