The Monday and Tuesday after the NFL week is over is usually filled with a lot of overreaction. Fans everywhere either think the sky is falling or the Super Bowl is in the cards for their teams.

Just as normal fans overreact, so do bettors -- which causes the lines to move.

BetSided spoke with WynnBET Senior Trader Motoi Pearson to discuss which lines have been moving due to overreaction.

“The Panthers moving from -1 to the Vikings -2 as well as the Cowboys from -1 to -3.5 were interesting. Both the Panthers and Vikings did not look special last week,” Pearson said. “That move seemed interesting. The Cowboys have been dominating as well, but it's hard to think that we don’t see an uptick in the Cowboys’ lines each week as long as they are playing well.”

The Panthers are now 2.5-point underdogs to the Vikings. Christian McCaffrey is going to be out for at least the next three weeks after being placed on injured reserve. Minnesota is going through its own running back struggles, as Dalvin Cook missed last week’s game due to an ankle injury.

The Cowboys are currently 3.0-point favorites against the Patriots. Dallas is coming off a dominant win against the New York GIants.

Like Pearson said, if Dallas continues to dominate, their lines will have to increase. The Cowboys have a big lead in the odds standings when it comes to the NFC East, so more dominant play should be in their future.

The Panthers and Cowboys are going in two different directions, but it may be time to be a little more patient with their lines.
