Best Matchup Bets for AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
One of the more popular non-major PGA Tour events of the year is set to take place this week as the pros pair-up with celebrities for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
We, of course, can't bet on the amateur portion of this event, but we can certainly still bet on the pros. If you're looking for my top outright picks or my favorite long shot bets to win, I have you covered.
Here, I'm going to breakdown my three favorite match up bets for the tournament. All odds listed are via WynnBET Sportsbook.
Top 3 Matchup Bets for AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
- Jason Day -115 vs. Jordan Spieth
- Maverick McNealy -120 vs. Cameron Tringale
- Nick Taylor -120 vs. Adam Hadwin
Jason Day -115 vs. Jordan Spieth
One of my top picks to win the tournament is Jason Day, so it's no surprise that I'm backing him to beat Jordan Spieth in a tournament-long matchup.
In his last five starts at this event, Day has finished seventh, fourth, fourth, second, and fifth. Not only that, but he finished T3 at last week's Farmers Insurance Open so he's proven that he's in good form heading into this week. Meanwhile, Spieth has also had success at this tournament, including a win here in 2017, but he missed the cut at last week's tournament, which shows he's not quite in as strong of form as Day.
Maverick McNealy -120 vs. Cameron Tringale
Maverick McNealy is one of the most popular golfers to bet on this week, and for good reason. I'm personally staying away from betting on him to win outright, as I feel he's being overvalued compared to his odds, but I like him to finish ahead of Cameron Tringale in a tournament-long matchup bet.
Tringale finished T3 last week, but he's finished 47th or worse in four of his last five a starts at this event. He hasn't had the track record in California that McNealy has had, so I think this is a great bet to make.
Nick Taylor -120 vs. Adam Hadwin
Nick Taylor is a strong dark horse bet to win the event, but he's also an interesting play in a matchup bet against Adam Hadwin in what's going to be some Canadian-on-Canadian crime.
Hadwin missed the cut at last week's Farmers Insurance Open, meanwhile Taylor has made four straight cuts including a T30 finish last week. Hadwin also missed the cut the last time he competed here in 2020, the year that Taylor took home the hardware.
