There's a glorious weekend in store for us. The weather is starting to get a bit nicer, the mosquitos a bit less annoying, and our pockets a bit deeper thanks to the MLB parlay I've got in store for us today.

With 15 games scheduled for today, there's a ton of value to pick from and the BetSided squad has previews for each contest. I've analyzed each matchup and am ready to end July with more fireworks than we started it with.

Using odds from WynnBET Sportsbook, here are my favorite MLB parlay picks of the day:

Best MLB Parlay Picks Today

Orioles (-132) vs Reds

Happy day, Mike Minor is pitching! Dating back to last season, Minor's team is 1-15 in his last 16 starts. The poor guy is just awful, ranking in the third percentile in barrel percentage and fourth in expected slugging percentage.

As a reward for his misery, Minor gets to face a streaking Orioles squad that's 15-5 over its last 20.

I was looking for a highlight of a home run or crazy good play to show you here, but then I found this and it made me laugh so I wanted to share:

When you're hot, you're hot. Baltimore is certainly hot, and I expect the club to crush Minor and the Reds today.

Marlins (+105) vs Mets

Miami's lineup is pathetic and the Mets are good, sure. But there's no chance I'm passing up an opportunity to bet Sandy Alcantara as a home underdog. No way, no how.

Without question, he's been the best pitcher in the National League, perhaps even in the entire sport. In 20 starts so far, Alcantara held 18 opponents to two runs or fewer. That's absolutely bananas, and he's got a 1.24 ERA this month to boot.

Chris Bassitt is pitching well but still has a 4.67 ERA on the road. We don't get opportunities like this every day, back Alcantara as a home 'dog and don't think twice.

Blue Jays -1.5 (-185) vs Tigers

All signs point to a dominant Toronto victory today. The Blue Jays easily lead MLB in OPS against right-handed pitchers this month while the Tigers are 29th, and Detroit brought up Bryan Garcia for his first appearance in the majors of the year. His reward is to face not only one of the most dominant lineups in baseball, but one of the most dominant starting pitchers as well.

Alek Manoah has a 2.10 ERA at home and held each of his last two opponents to a single run. He's got a quality start in five of his last six outings and Detroit's pathetic lineup shouldn't generate any damage.

Look for the Blue Jays to push the Tigers to 1-11 over their last 12 as road underdogs as Manoah dazzles.

Braves -1.5 (+100) vs Diamondbacks

It's a great day to back Kyle Wright and fade Madison Bumgarner. The Braves are coming off a series loss for the first time all month and will be anxious to exercise their demons against a suddenly surging Diamondbacks club. Luckily for them, Bumgarner is terrible.

He's got a 4.79 expected ERA and Arizona has four straight road losses behind him by a combined score of 26-7. Meanwhile, Kyle Wright has a 2.64 ERA this month and is one of the best pitchers in the NL this year.

Look for a convincing win from Atlanta as it takes advantage of Bumgarner's ineptitude.

Rangers (+101) vs Angels

We're catching plus odds with Martin Perez and the Rangers against the Angels? And a left-handed starter in Patrick Sandoval at that? Hot dog! It must be my birthday.

Perez has a 2.37 ERA on the road and takes on an Angels team that ranks 29th in OPS against left-handed pitchers in July. Texas, meanwhile, ranks 10th, and Sandoval is 0-4 with a 7.11 ERA this month.

BetSided's Iain MacMillan likes the matchup for Perez too, bolstering my confidence in this pick. Look for the Rangers to improve to 14-2 in Perez's last 16 outings as Sandoval continues to struggle.

MLB Parlay for July 29, 2022

The "More Fireworks, Please" Parlay (+2132)

  • Orioles (-132) vs Reds
  • Marlins (+105) vs Mets
  • Blue Jays -1.5 (-185) vs Tigers
  • Braves -1.5 (+100) vs Diamondbacks
  • Rangers (+101) vs Angels

Quite a wide range of plays in store for today. I love the value we're catching across the board, as a $25 bet nets you $533.03.

That being said, my favorite plays are the Orioles and Rangers. Combining those two still gives you +252 odds at WynnBET, so there's plenty of options for some fireworks this evening.

Whichever direction you choose, best of luck as always! Let's get after it.
