Do you ever wake up feeling ready to take on the world? The smell of fresh coffee emanates through the room while the pleasant sound of chirping birds serenades you while you get ready for the day.

That was me today and I'm prepared to flip this 15-game MLB slate upside down to craft a perfect Wednesday whopper of a parlay.

Check out the BetSided team's previews for each matchup scheduled for an exciting day of baseball, and as you do I recommend picking your favorites to put together your own magical combination of bets.

As for me, I've identified a few key games with value. With help from the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook, here are my favorite MLB parlay picks of the day:

Best MLB Parlay Picks Today

Phillies (-134) vs Rangers

If it's well after midnight and my fridge is bare, Taco Bell sounds delicious. If someone asks if I want a five-course meal or a beefy five-layer burrito, Taco Bell sounds repulsive. Perspective matters, right?

Jon Gray is having a nice season, but a few extra hot sauce packets doesn't make him a filet mignon. Zack Wheeler is wrapped with bacon, sizzling hot and an incredible value in this matchup.

The Phillies are 6-1 in Wheelers' last seven starts as his 2.31 FIP (Fielding Independent Pitching) ranks second among all qualified pitchers. He's got a 1.42 ERA over his last 10 outings and is down to +1100 to win the NL Cy Young.

Jon Gray has been solid but only lasted three innings against Philly in a loss earlier this year. He walks too many batters and has a small margin of error against a lineup that ranks fifth in OPS over the last three weeks. The Rangers are 1-4 in their last five as a home favorite and we're getting a great price to back a scorching hot Phillies team with one of the best pitchers in MLB.

Marlins (-180) vs Rockies

Pablo Lopez has struggled this month, amassing a 6.48 ERA, but this is a perfect get-right spot for him against Chad Kuhl and the Rockies. He shut Colorado down over six scoreless innings last month, allowing only three hits, and the Rockies are a pathetic 7-17 in their last 24 as road underdogs.

Miami has won nine of 10 as home favorites, including seven straight, and should feast on Kuhl. The Rockies' 29-year-old righty has allowed at least five hits in seven consecutive starts and has issued nine walks already in June. Colorado is 1-7 in his last eight outings and their struggles behind him continue today.

Tigers vs Red Sox First Five Innings Under 4.5 (-125)

When Michael Wacha pitches at home, expect a low-scoring affair. He's got a 1.03 ERA at Fenway Park through five starts and takes on a Tigers lineup that's dead-last in OPS against right-handed pitchers this year. Wacha has allowed one or fewer runs in three of his last four outings and I think his success continues today.

But I also believe in Tarik Skubal, despite a rough outing his last time out. He has the third-lowest FIP (Fielding Independent Pitching) among all qualified starters and the Red Sox are middling against left-handed pitchers. The under is 7-1-1 in Skubal's last nine starts and 14-5-1 in Detroit's last 20 on the road.

I'm worried about each team's bullpen though, so I'll stick to the first five innings to maximize the value of each pitcher.

Giants (+122) vs Braves

I'm in agreement with Matt De Saro here. I don't care how hot the Braves are, there's no way Carlos Rodón should be an underdog to Charlie Morton in 2022. Rodón has a 1.17 ERA in June and over his last two starts, he's thrown 14 scoreless innings while allowing only four hits and striking out 16. He struggled a bit in May, but his MLB Statcast Pitching Profile still suggests he's an elite starter:

Morton, meanwhile, ranks in the 32nd percentile in expected ERA. Although he shutout the Cubs over seven innings last week, he'd given up at least four runs in four straight starts. He'd allowed a home run in six straight outings prior to last week, and with winds blowing out to center field I think the Giants get some runs on the board.

At the least, Rodón and San Francisco should be favored. Roll with the value on the visitors.

Athletics First Five Innings (+110) vs Mariners

It's Paul Blackburn day! The Athletics' 28-year-old righty has been the most profitable first five innings pitcher in MLB this season, going 10-3 and returning a $100 bettor $1,010.91. Oakland is a terrible ballclub, no doubt about it, but that's just consistently given Blackburn value.

The dude is good, and his 3.08 FIP (Fielding Independent Pitching) is a full run lower than George Kirby's (4.06). Seattle has been shut out twice in their last three games and though I love Kirby's potential, he's surrendered five home runs already this month and gave up four to the A's in a loss earlier this season.

Oakland's bullpen cannot be trusted, so I'm sticking with the first five innings to hone in on Blackburn's advantage.

Guardians (+142) vs Twins

What, you thought I was going to leave off my beloved Guardians? Cleveland is a team of destiny. They're 16-4 over their last 20 games and after crawling back to tie the Twins for the AL Central lead, they finally have a chance to take sole possession of first place with a win today.

I'll admit that Peter Dewey makes a great case for Minnesota behind Sonny Gray, but Triston McKenzie has three consecutive quality starts against the Twins and Gray struggled against the Guardians last month. He issued four walks and allowed two runs in only 4.1 innings, and he's due for regression as his expected ERA (2.90) is nearly a full run lower than his actual ERA (2.09).

Gray has dominated poor competition in recent weeks like the Royals, Tigers, and Athletics, and I think the Guardians have a ton of value to bring him back to earth. They've won four of five as underdogs and the Twins are just 3-6 in their last nine as favorites. Sometimes, it's just destiny, and Cleveland is going to snatch first place from Minnesota today.

MLB Parlay for June 22, 2022

The "It's Destiny" Parlay (+5416)

  • Phillies (-134) vs Rangers
  • Marlins (-180) vs Rockies
  • Tigers vs Red Sox First Five Innings Under 4.5 (-120)
  • Giants (+122) vs Braves
  • Athletics First Five Innings (+110) vs Mariners
  • Guardians (+142) vs Twins

Whew, that is one mammoth parlay. Odds of +5416 pay out $1354 on a $25 bet, which is rather bananas.

I'd highly encourage you to pick your favorite bets, perhaps combined with some recommendations from the BetSided team's previews, as it's extremely difficult to nail a +5416 six-team parlay.

That being said, a Giants/Athletics/Guardians underdog parlay has +1028 odds to pay out $257.05 on a $25 bet, and you can add the Phillies to increase those odds to +1870.

Whatever path you choose, keep these picks in mind as you're filling out your bet slip at WynnBET. Best of luck, let's get after it!
