There are 10 games going on in Major League Baseball on Thursday, and I have my eye on three of them for a parlay to help you cash in on some favorable odds.

I'm looking at the Detroit Tigers-Houston Astros matchup for a total, the Cincinnati Reds-Milwaukee Brewers matchup for a run line play and one more total in the Minnesota Twins-Baltimore Orioles game.

While parlays are fun to bet, it's important to remember that they are not the way to become a profitable sports bettor.

Let's get into the picks, with all odds via WynnBET.

Best MLB Parlay Picks Today (+542 Odds)

  • Detroit Tigers First Five Innings Total Runs OVER 1.5 (-125)
  • Milwaukee Brewers -1.5 vs, Cincinnati Reds (-115)
  • Minnesota Twins-Baltimore Orioles UNDER 8 Runs (-110)

Detroit Tigers First Five Innings Total Runs OVER 1.5 (-125)

The Detroit Tigers come into Thursday’s game against the Houston Astros ranking 29th in runs scored, but they are facing Jose Urquidy, who has gotten knocked around to start the 2022 season.

When looking at some of his advanced numbers via Baseball Savant, it’s shocking that Urquidy only has a 5.95 ERA. He ranks in the fifth percentile in expected ERA, the 12th percentile in hard hit percentage and the 13th percentile in barrel percentage.

I think Detroit can jump on him in the early innings, and I like this over more than the Tigers’ team total at 3.5 runs.

Milwaukee Brewers -1.5 vs. Cincinnati Reds (-115)

The Cincinnati Reds are an all-time bad team right now, and they have lost 18 of their last 20 games on the run line!

Even though Hunter Greene is starting for Cincy today, I think they are still extremely fadebale, as Greene has allowed three or more runs in every start this season and has a 6.00 ERA. Cincy is horrible on offense, ranking 28th in runs scored, so don’t expect the Reds to conjure up the support to get Greene a win.

Minnesota Twins-Baltimore Orioles UNDER 8 Runs (-110)

The OVER is just 8-16-1 in Baltimore Orioles games this season, and the team is sending Spenser Watkins (2.55 ERA) to the mound against Chris Archer (2.93 ERA).

The Twins have been better on offense, averaging 4.28 runs per game, but if one of these pitchers has a good game, we’re looking at a perfect spot for the UNDER.
