Best Prop Bets for Sunday Night Baseball (Trust Both Starters and Freddie Freeman in Dodgers vs. Braves Finale)

We've got a fantastic Sunday Night Baseball matchup in store as the 42-31 Atlanta Braves host the 44-26 Los Angeles Dodgers at 7:08 PM after these clubs split the first two games of the series.

Tony Gonsolin brings his 9-0 record and 1.58 ERA into Atlanta while rookie phenom Spencer Strider hopes to rebound from a poor outing against the Giants last week.

There's value on both the Dodgers and the under, but a few prop bets caught my eye as well that need to be discussed.

Using the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook, here are my favorite props for Sunday Night Baseball:

Best Prop Bets for Sunday Night Baseball

Spencer Strider Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-125)

I can't help but back my guy Strider. He's in the 99th percentile in strikeout rate and totaled 19 in his two starts prior to last week's Giants debacle.

His slider and changeup both have whiff rates over 51%, and his fastball reaches triple digits with alarming accuracy. The Dodgers' lineup, for all it's strengths, strikes out quite a bit. They've averaged 11.67 strikeouts over their last three games and the fiery Strider should have a bounce-back performance on Sunday Night Baseball.

Tony Gonsolin Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-115)

Speaking of strikeouts, the Braves average the second-most per game in MLB and I love Gonsolin's chances to get to six. Gonsolin cleared this prop just once in four starts so far in June, but rattled off seven strikeouts in three straight outings to end May.

With Atlanta's penchant for swings-and-misses, I think Gonsolin hits this prop in what should be a pitcher's duel.

Freddie Freeman to Hit a Home Run (+395)

Strider has dominated hitters with his incredible slider, but Freeman hits the pitch well and it'd be poetic for the former Atlanta superstar to drill a home run in his return.

Freeman got his emotional reception out of the way and now can lock in during a huge matchup with the nation watching. He has three homers in the last week but has been quiet in this series so far. At +395 odds, I think he's due for a blast in Atlanta.
