The Kansas City Chiefs blew a 35-24 lead against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football in Week 2, but they have a chance to rebound against a division foe in Week 3 of the season.

The Los Angeles Chargers, who lost on a game-winning field goal against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2, will try to avoid a second-straight loss at Arrowhead Stadium, but it won’t be easy.

Kansas City is coming in as a heavy favorite in this one, and while the Chiefs issues covering the spread have been well-documented, they haven’t lost consecutive games since early in the 2019 season.

Justin Herbert against Patrick Mahomes should make for a lot of fireworks on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. EST.

Here are how the odds look at WynnBET Sportsbook:

Chargers vs. Chiefs Prediction and Pick

I don’t think Kansas City is going to lose two games in a row, especially with this matchup being at home, but the Chiefs’ against the spread record is extremely concerning.

I know that the Chargers are less than a touchdown underdog, but I don’t think that Justin Herbert and company will get blown out in this matchup. Austin Ekeler should dominate on the ground and in the short passing game, and Mike Williams appears to have taken a step forward opposite Keenan Allen this season.

I’ll take the Chargers to cover the 6.5-point spread in what may be a shootout between two of the game’s best quarterbacks.
