There aren’t many people who have faith in the Indianapolis Colts after they blew a 22-3 lead against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5 on Monday Night Football, but owner Jim Irsay is one of them.

Irsay took to Twitter to boldly claim that the Colts are going to win not one, but two Super Bowl titles in the next decade.

If you’re laughing and shaking your head, you’re not alone.

The Colts are tied with the lowly Houston Texans for the second-best record in the AFC South, but their odds at WynnBET Sportsbook aren’t great.

Indianapolis is just +275 to win the division, and while our own Donnavan Smoot outlined three keys for them to come back and win the division, it still feels like a long shot at the moment.

Vegas has also set the Colts’ win total projection at a pick’em at 7.5 games, which signals that they may not even get to .500 on the season.

This is far from what the team expected when it reunited Carson Wentz with Frank Reich this offseason, but Indy struggled to score early in the season and also lost a matchup with the divisional rival Tennessee Titans (-400 to win the AFC South).

Irsay’s bold statement is typical of such a brash owner, but the fact that he’s doing it while his team is struggling is quite interesting. The Colts will take on the Texans in Week 6 as they try to get back in the win column.
