D’Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams were both heavily involved in the Detroit Lions’ game plan in Week 1, as they both caught eight passes in a 41-33 loss to the San Francisco 49ers

Swift came into the game nursing a groin injury, but he out-snapped Williams (68 percent to 35 percent) and finished with four more targets/carries than his counterpart. Williams got the start, and he totaled 110 yards on 17 touches while Swift put up 104 yards on 19 touches. Both players scored a touchdown.

That sounds about as close to a timeshare as you can get, and with Tyrell Williams out for Monday night’s matchup with the Green Bay Packers, you can expect Swift and Williams to be heavily involved once again.

WynnBET has player props for Williams and Swift’s yardage totals on Monday Night Football, and the odds are slightly in Swift’s favor:

D’Andre Swift vs. Jamaal Williams Player Props

Rushing Yards

Swift: 39.5 (Over -112/Under -116)

Williams: 37.5 (Over -110/Under -120)

Rushing Yards and Receiving Yards

Swift: 72.5 (Over -112/Under -120)

Williams: 58.5 (Over -116/Under -112)

Receiving Yards

Swift: 28.5 (Over -116/Under -115)

Williams: 18.5 (Over -115/Under -116)

Swift appears to have the edge because of his receiving prowess, and with the Lions currently sitting as 11.5-point underdogs in Week 2, it makes sense that Swift would be more involved if the team has to play catch up.

Williams is facing his former squad in Green Bay, and while he was the better runner in Week 1 against the 49ers, oddsmakers are picking Swift to lead the team in rushing by a slim margin after he finished with more carries in the opener.

This backfield is setting up to be a pretty even split this season, but Swift appears to be the leader heading into Week 2, and he may remain that way if he continues to produce, especially through the air.
