The Cowboys and the 49ers were the most intense rivalry in the NFL back in the ‘90s. In today’s game, there is plenty of potential firepower in both offenses.

Two wide receivers stick out in particular — Deebo Samuel and Ceedee Lamb. The two top wide receivers enter this game with similar receiving prop bets, so who will have the more successful day?

Ceedee Lamb Over/Under 62.5 receiving yards (-115)

Lamb is one of the brightest rising stars in the NFL, courtesy of his ability to make outstanding, highlight reel plays. He has put up some monster stat lines in his young NFL career, but also has been surprisingly quiet at times. In his last two games, Lamb has caught a total of only 5 receptions, but has turned them into 96 yards.

The 49ers defense gave up a healthy amount of receiving yards this year, allowing 2,745 yards to wide receivers in particular, 10th most in the NFL. The Niners are one of the best rush defenses in the NFL this year, meaning Dallas might find more success through the air. I like Lamb to have a big day and hit the over.

Deebo Samuel Over/Under 65.5 receiving yards (-115)

Samuel’s line is almost identical to Lamb’s, and he checks in with the highest receiving yards total in this game. Samuel has been a breakout star for the 49ers this year, but it hasn’t all been through the air — while Samuel does have an impressive 1,405 receiving yards this year, he also has 365 rushing yards to his name.

Dallas has been one of the most improved secondaries in the NFL, in large part because of the ascension of Trevon Diggs. Diggs has 11 interceptions on the year, which leads the NFL, but he has been prone to surrendering the big play. Samuel has gone over his 65.5 prop for today in two of his last three games, and like Lamb, he has a good chance to go over.

Who Should You Take Between Deebo Samuel vs. Ceedee Lamb?

While both wide receivers are capable of putting up huge numbers, I would lean that Lamb has the better odds because of Dak Prescott’s abilities as a passer and reliance on the passing game. Prescott has attempted 37.3 passes per game this season, compared to Jimmy Garoppolo’s 29.4.

LEAN: Ceedee Lamb
