Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard are quickly forming one of the most dynamic backfield duos in the NFL this season, and each may continue to have a major role the rest of this way.

This is great news for bettors who love taking player props, and as one of those bettors, I cashed in on Pollard’s rushing yards prop at WynnBET on Monday Night Football in Week 3 against the Philadelphia Eagles

The Dallas Cowboys’ offense looked like a well-oiled machine in Week 3, and it came with both Elliott and Pollard being heavily involved.

Pollard plays less snaps, but he certainly makes the most of his time on the field, turning 12 touches into 65 yards. A perfect change-of-pace option to Elliott, Pollard has seen his snap counts rise every week and is now playing over 30 percent of snaps in Dallas this season

Ezekiel Elliott vs. Tony Pollard Stats Comparison

Opportunities (Carries and Targets):

  • Elliott: 51
  • Pollard: 35

Rushing Yards:

  • Elliott: 199 (4.5 yards per carry)
  • Pollard:183 (6.8 yards per carry)

Receiving Yards:

  • Elliott: 53
  • Pollard: 65

Snap Percentage:

  • Elliott: 75.34%
  • Pollard: 31.39%

The Cowboys aren’t going to phase Elliott out of the running back room, especially since he’s coming off his best game of the season, but Pollard remains a valuable player for prop bettors.

He’s seen 24 carries for 169 yards over the past two games, and if his rushing props continue to get set in the high 20s, he’s going to be a steal to take the over on just about every week.
