The Arthur Smith-era in Atlanta got off to a woeful start, with his Atlanta Falcons getting slapped around by the Philadelphia Eagles 32-6 on Sunday. Atlanta’s quarterback, Matt Ryan, picked up just 164 passing yards and zero touchdowns. The offense as a whole looked a little lost in this one.

The Falcons didn’t help their case in this one after taking 12 penalties. Certainly can’t make those mistakes in Week 2 against the defending Super Bowl champs.

It’s hard to believe that Tom Brady is 44 years old after the passing display he exhibited in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Thursday NIght game against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1. Brady attempted 50 passes and collected 379 passing yards and four touchdowns.

With a porous Atlanta secondary on the docket for Week 2, Brady may duplicate his Week 1 performance.

Here’s how the odds at WynnBET Sportsbook look for this Week 2 matchup:

Falcons vs. Buccaneers Prediction and Pick

The Falcons looked bad on Sunday, but I believe that low quality of play, especially from their offense, is unsustainably bad. There is too much talent on this team to be putting up six points in a game. They should at least positively regress back to the mean.

The Bucs have a really great defensive unit, but with some divisional pride on the line, I’ll say Matt Ryan and the Dirty Birds, make this a closer, dirty game. I’ll take the Falcons at +13.5.
