Here Are the Best NFL Teams to Bet on the Over and Under
Now that we’re five weeks into the NFL season, us bettors have acquired enough data and statistics that we can really start using it to help better inform us when deciding what to wager on.
This is especially true when it comes to totals.
Let’s take a look at three teams who you should consider taking the over on in the coming weeks, and three teams who seem to invite an under bet. All odds listed are via WynnBET Sportsbook.
Top OVER Teams for the Coming Weeks
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs are tied with four other teams for the best OVER record in the NFL at 4-1, and for good reason. The averaged combined scores in their games so far this season is 63.4. That jumps up to 71.5 in their road games. That’s insanity.
The total is set at the high mark of 55.5 for their Week 6 matchup with Washington.
Dallas Cowboys
When you think of good offense and bad defense, you likely think of the Dallas Cowboys. They’re another team that is 4-1 on the OVER so far this season, and I can’t imagine that trend slowing down. They’re second in the NFL in yards per game and 25th in the NFL in opponent yards per game.
The total is set at 50.5 for their Week 6 game against the New England Patriots.
Tennessee Titans
The OVER hit at a 75% clip in Titans games last season, and that trend has leaked into 2021 as Tennessee is 3-2 on the over this season and I expect that number to rise. The averaged combined score in their games this season is 52.4, and the goes up to 56.67 when they play on the road.
They host the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football in Week 6. The total is set at 54.5.
Top UNDER Teams for the Coming Weeks
Chicago Bears
As is tradition with the Chicago Bears, they boast a solid defense while having one of the worst offenses in professional football. Their offense ranks 30th in points per game (16.8) and dead last in yards per game (240).
The UNDER is 4-1 so far in their games, and the total is set at 45 for their Week 6 meeting with the Green Bay Packers.
New York Jets
The Jets offense has been just downright awful this season. They rank dead last in points per game (13.4), but their defense is surprisingly solid, ranking ninth in opponent yards per play (5.3).
Their averaged combined score is 37.6, which means they should be a solid UNDER play in the coming weeks. They’re on a BYE in Week 6, but will take on the Patriots in Week 7.
Denver Broncos
The Broncos have the lowest average combined score this season at 35.6, and that number drops all the way down to 28 at home, which is completely insane. Their offense isn’t bad, but they’re not an explosive unit that’s going to put up points in a hurry against you. Pair that with a top three defense in the NFL and you have a perfect recipe for a lot of UNDERs.
They host the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 6 and the total is set at 44.5.
