The Las Vegas Raiders travel to Cincinnati to face the AFC North champion Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday afternoon's Super Wild Card Weekend.

At Betsided, we have you covered with a game preview and historical wagering trends heading into the weekend, but here we are going to compare the two quarterbacks relative to the prop market at WynnBET Sportsbook.

Who will throw for more yards? Will the game script dictate how to evaluate this prop? Let's break it all down:

Quarterback Passing Yards Prop

  • Derek Carr: 252.5 (Over -115/Under -115)
  • Joe Burrow: 265.5 (Over -115/Under -115)

Derek Carr Passing Yards

I believe the Raiders are going to try and avoid a shootout against the Bengals, knowing Cincy has the superior passing game.

It also helps that the Bengals are 20th in defensive rush success rate this season and Josh Jacobs is playing his best all season of late, fresh off a 26 carry, 132 yard performance against the Chargers.

With poor weather predicted in Cincinnati, I expect the Raiders to avoid pushing the ball down the field through the air and attempt to establish the run against a Bengals defense that can be had on the ground.

Joe Burrow Passing Yards

Burrow is lined 13 yards higher than Carr, but I have no issue taking him to outgain Carr through the air. The Raiders have a stiff rush defense that is fourth best in the league. Not to mention, when these two teams faced off earlier this season, Mixon had a 37% success rate (would be the worst in the league).

The Bengals have a host of weapons in the passing game and Burrow is going to look to find his receivers quick against the likes of Maxx Crosby, who will be pressuring from the right side of the line. I expect Cincinnati to try and force the issue early and often by putting the ball up for the likes of Tee Higgins Ja'Marr Chase.

Winning or losing, Burrow is going to be slinging it. It's how the Bengals got here and there is no sign of them slowing down, even in poor weather. Meanwhile, the Raiders are best suited attacking their opponent on the ground.
