Jon Rahm Dominates Torrey Pines
The PGA Tour heads to the legendary Torrey Pines for this week's Farmers Insurance Open.
If you want my full betting preview and picks for the event, I've got you covered. If you're looking for long shot bets, I have you covered with those as well.
One name you won't see that I'm betting on is Jon Rahm, and that could end up being a huge mistake on my part. He's currently listed as the +700 (bet $100 to profit $700) favorite at WynnBET to win the event. While that price may seem short for a tournament that has this strong of a field, but history would say his odds are priced about right.
Jon Rahm's Dominant History at Torrey Pines
To put it in simple terms, Jon Rahm loves Torrey Pines. So much so that he got engaged there.
Want to know why he loves it so much? Here are his results to-date when competing at the San Diego gem:
Jon Rahm Results at Torrey Pines
- 2017 - 1st
- 2018 - T29th
- 2019 - T5th
- 2020 - 2nd
- 2021 - T7th
- 2021 (US Open) - 1st
In six career starts at Torrey Pines, he has five finishes of T7th or better including two wins. Those wins were also his first win on the PGA Tour, and his first major tournament victory. It's not wonder the course means so much to him.
We can take an even deeper look at it to see just how dominant he's been at this course.
Statistics, results, sentimental value, Torrey Pines is Jon Rahm's happy place in every sense of the word. He should be an auto-bet every time he steps onto the premises. Anyone who isn't betting on him, myself included, could live to regret it come Saturday evening.
