Can the Philadelphia Eagles upset the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football?

WynnBET Sportsbook doesn’t have much faith in the Eagles, even at home, as they are seven-point underdogs. However, one Philly player might have a chance to outperform his counterpart for the Bucs, according to the latest player props

Eagles running back Miles Sanders prop for receiving yards is set at 24.5 in Week 6, while Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette is projected to rack up 26.5 receiving yards.

This comes as a surprise, especially considering the fact Sanders is averaging just 22.2 yards per game compared to Fournette’s 33.4.

However, the Eagles are facing the league’s best run defense, and while I’m already fading Sanders’ rushing yards prop, he may actually have some value as a pass catcher in this game.

Sanders has had two games where he’s finished with six or fewer receiving yards, while he put up 39, 28 and 34 in the other three contests. Two of those games were losses to the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs, as Sanders’ bigger receiving games obviously come when the Eagles are in a negative game script.

The Bucs should handle business against Philly on Thursday, so Sanders may be in line for a bunch of checkdowns against a Bucs team that is allowing 60.2 receiving yards per game to the running back position.

While Kenneth Gainwell will also factor in for Philly out of the backfield, I still think Sanders could beat Fournette out in this prop.

The Eagles have the third-best passing defense in the NFL this season and allow just 38.8 yards per game to running backs through the air. However, they’ve allowed the third-most rushing yards in the NFL, and I think Fournette does most of his damage on the ground in this matchup.

Either way, the over on both players’ prop is interesting considering their respective season averages in the category.
