The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys face off on Monday Night Football and the winner will have sole possession of first place in the NFC East.

Dallas is coming off a close win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2, while Philly’s offense took a step back in a Week 2 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Jalen Hurts and Dak Prescott should make for an exciting quarterback matchup, and WynnBET Sportsbook has the Cowboys as 3.5-point home favorites in Week 3.

So how should you bet on this matchup? Our editors are here with their best picks for Monday night’s showdown:

Eagles +3.5 vs. Cowboys (-115)

The Cowboys got to 1-1 on the season by way of some turnover luck inside the red zone last week, and I don't see them being able to stop Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts as a passer or runner in Week 3.

The Cowboys are bottom third in the league in defensive rush and pass success this season while the Eagles have the sixth-best rushing attack, expect Hurts to go wherever he wants with Cowboys edge rusher DeMarcus Lawrence still out.

On defense, the Eagles will have their toughest test of the season against the Dallas passing attack, but to this point have the best explosive pass defense in the league. Philly's D is quietly emerging as an elite unit and I see this game coming down to the final possession, so I'll take the underdog at over a field goal. -- Reed Wallach

Jalen Hurts OVER 1.5 Touchdown Passes (+110)

Jalen Hurts threw for three touchdowns in the Eagles’ Week 1 win over the lowly Atlanta Falcons, but he was unable to throw for a score in Week 2.

I think that’s going to change in Week 3. Dallas has allowed the third-most passing yards in the NFL this season, and it also has given up five touchdown passes through the first two weeks of the season.

The over in this matchup is set at 51.5, which signals to me that oddsmakers see somewhat of a shootout going on in Dallas tonight.

Hurts struggled against San Francisco, but both offenses were subpar in that game and not many points were scored. That’s not going to be the case against a porous Dallas defense, especially without DeMarcus Lawrence, and Hurts should be able to take advantage of the Cowboys’ secondary with DeVonta Smith, Jalen Reagor and Dallas Goedert. -- Peter Dewey

Eagles vs. Cowboys UNDER 51.5 (-110)

Dallas’ defense has actually been impressive this year. I suppose everything is relative compared to a season ago, but there’s competence there that didn’t exist a season ago!

They gave up 31 points on the road to the defending Super Bowl champs, but just 10 of them came in the second half. They turned in another strong performance in Week 2 against the Chargers, limiting Justin Herbert and company to just 17 total points, six coming in the second half.

Meanwhile, the Eagles’ defense has been terrific as well, limiting the Falcons on the road to just six, and the 49ers to 17. They currently rank eighth in Football Outsiders’ total DVOA rankings, including sixth against the pass.

The public will bet this number up, so I’d wait until closer to kickoff to get the best value, but I think this game ends up being lower scoring than most expect.

BONUS BET: Dallas Goedert anytime TD (+175)

Goedert has four red zone targets and three catches so far this year. Dallas has also given up two touchdowns through two games to tight ends; tied for fourth in the NFL. -- Ben Heisler
