NFL Picks: FOX NFL Kickoff Crew Backing Taking Two Surprise Upsets in Week 2
By Peter Dewey
The FOX NFL Kickoff crew had a variety of picks for this week’s slate of games in the NFL, with two members taking major upset in Week 2.
Former NFL quarterback Michael Vick envisions the Miami Dolphins starting 2-0, and the Buffalo Bills 0-2, this season, while Hall of Fame defensive back Charles Woodson believes in Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles again in Week 2.
WynnBET revealed several late line movements for today’s slate, but here’s who the crew at FOX is backing in Week 2:
FOX NFL Kickoff Picks
- Charissa Thompson: New Orleans Saints by 6 over Carolina Panthers
- Michael Vick: Dolphins upset Bills by 1
- Charles Woodson: Eagles upset San Francisco 49ers by 3
- Dave Wannstedt: Chicago Bears beat Cincinnati Bengals 10
- Peter Schrager: Los Angeles Rams cover four-point spread against Indianapolis Colts
The Saints are currently three-point favorites over Carolina in Week 2 after blowing out the Green Bay Packers in Week 1. Thompson and Schrager both expect their teams to cover, as the Rams are four-point road favorites against the Colts. Sean McVay’s teams are 17-6 straight up as road favorites in his career.
As for Vick and Woodson, if bettors want to trail their picks they have some solid value at WynnBET. Miami is +160 on the moneyline and a 3.5-point underdog in Week2, while the Eagles are +130 on the moneyline and three-point underdogs themselves.
Both teams are home underdogs, and after watching nine underdogs pull off the upset in Week 1, it may not be a bad move to back one of these teams in Week 2.
As for Wannstedt, he's taking a shot on the Bears who are just two-point home favorites. Bettors don’t have to back Chicago by double-digits if they feel that they’re the team in that matchup.
I’m going to roll with Schrager, as my best bet of the week was the Rams to cover in this one, but there are plenty of other bets you can make at WynnBET.
