The Matthew Stafford era in Los Angeles got off to a great start, as the Los Angeles Rams blew out the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football in Week 1.

As for the Carson Wentz era with the Indianapolis Colts… not so much. Wentz threw two scores in his Colts debut, but Indianapolis couldn't hang with the Seattle Seahawks  in a 28-16 loss.

Now, Indy will face another tough NFC West opponent in the Rams in Week 2 at home. While the Colts couldn’t win their home opener, they have a chance to win their first game as home underdogs since Frank Reich took over in 2018.

Here’s how the odds at WynnBET Sportsbook look for Sunday’s 1:00 p.m. EST Week 2 matchup.

Rams vs. Colts Spread, Odds and Over/Under

Spread:

Rams -4.0 (-110)

Colts +4.0 (-110)

Moneyline:

Rams: -200

Colts: +170

Over/Under: 47.5 (Over: -110/Under: -110)

Colts vs. Rams Betting Trends

  • The Colts are 7-9 SU in Weeks 1-5 since Frank Reich became head coach.
  • Indianapolis is 0-4 SU as a home underdog under Frank Reich.
  • The Rams are 13-10 against the spread as an away favorite and 17-6 straight up under Sean McVay.
  • The Rams are 1-0 against the spread this season.
  • Indianapolis is 0-1 against the spread this season.

Rams vs. Colts Prediction and Pick

I don’t know what it is about Frank Reich and the Colts, but they can’t seem to get off to a fast start since he became the team’s head coach, but he still has a 28-21 record since 2018.

As much as Wentz and the Colts would love to grab a win at home, I don’t see it coming in Week 2. Sean McVay’s teams thrive as away favorites and the Rams were honestly the most impressive team in Week 1.

When you add an established quarterback like Stafford to the team with the No. 1 defense from the season before, you’re going to be pretty tough to beat. This is actually my favorite pick of the week, as I expect the Rams to cover the four-point spread.
