The New York Giants will go on the road in Week 2 of the NFL season to face the Washington Football Team and Taylor Heinicke on Thursday Night Football.

With Saquon Barkley still working his way back from a torn ACL and Ryan Fitzpatrick on injured reserve, the oddsmakers at WynnBET have set this game’s total at a season-low 40.5.

We’ve already broken down some player props for tonight’s matchup, but what’s the bet that we’re most confident in?

Here’s what our editors chose for tonight:

Giants +9.5 vs. Washington in Teasers (-140)

Tough to find an edge in this game. I leaned the under but that has been steamed down so instead I'll use the Giants as a teaser leg through the key number of 7. With such a low total, points are going to be hard to come by so I'll take a cushion with the road team in what already feels like a must win game for New York.

Taylor Heinicke may be more than capable of running the Washington offense but this is a short week and I believe it may take another week for this offense to produce with him under center.

Some options that I like to pair with Big Blue are: Steelers PK, Seahawks PK, Dolphins +9.5 and Panthers +9.5. -- Reed Wallach

Giants vs. Washington UNDER 40.5 Points (-110)

I know this is an insanely low number, but I still have to go with the under here.

Every time I think I want to back the Giants, I think about the Washington defensive line against the Giants offensive line. Every time I think I want to back Washington, I think about Taylor Heinecke.

So instead, just give me the under. Washington only scored 20 points versus the Chargers, Giants only scored 13 against the Broncos. Both defenses are better than their offenses.

This is going to be a painful bet to root for, as an under on this low of a total can lose in a hurry, but I still think it's the right wager to make tonight. -- Iain MacMillan

Antonio Gibson OVER 89.5 Combined Rushing and Receiving Yards (-116)

Antonio Gibson is one of the focal points of Washington’s offense, and he’s going to be more involved on Thursday night.

With Ryan Fitzpatrick out at quarterback due to injury and Taylor Heinicke replacing him, Gibson should be in line for another heavy dosage of touches after seeing 23 for 108 yards in the season opener.

The Washington running back isn’t listed on the injury report after missing practice time with a shoulder injury, and he actually surpassed this combined rushing and receiving total with just rushing yards (90) in Week 1.

The Giants gave up 165 rushing yards to the Denver Broncos in Week 1, and with Washington likely leaning on the running game more often than normal, I love Gibson’s chances of hitting the over on this prop. -- Peter Dewey

Antonio Gibson Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-110)

Gibson handled 20 of the 23 carries for Washington in Week 1 and also was the top passing target out of the backfield. I like that kind of volume, especially against a Giants defense that gave up 165 rushing yards against the Broncos last week. With backup quarterback Taylor Heinicke starting for Washington this week, I expect a heavy dose of Gibson and believe he will hit pay dirt. -- Brian Giuffra
