NFL Week 12 Survivor Pool Picks

Seattle Seahawks

This is by far and away the most difficult week to choose a Survivor team. The plan to keep fading the Lions is now in question as the Bears may be set to relieve Matt Nagy of his head coaching dutiesfollowing the Thanksgiving Day game.

The Eagles are red-hot, but taking a road team in a divisional matchup is always a dangerous play in Survivor. Instead, I’ll take the Seahawks who head on the road to face the Washington Football Team that’s won two straight games as underdogs against Tampa Bay and then on the road at Carolina.

Russell Wilson and Pete Carroll may be at odds, but Wilson will be motivated to put some good tape out on Monday Night Football as he likely leaves Seattle this offseason.

He’s also been the GOAT of covering the spread in primetime, going 26-12-3 ATS over the last 10 years, and 29-9-1 straight-up.

This is the week I have the least amount of conviction for a Survivor pick, but I think this sets up best amongst all the remaining options I have available.

USED TEAMS: TB, GB, CAR, BUF, NE, IND, AZ, LAR, BAL, DAL, CLE -- Ben Heisler

Houston Texans

This week is unbelievably tough in Survivor, but I'm confident that the Texans are the better of two teams in the basement of the NFL in their matchup with the New York Jets.

The Jets lost running back Michael Carter last week and we still don't know if Zach Wilson (is he even an upgrade?) will be good to go in Week 12. Tyrod Taylor is a solid quarterback, winning two games for the Texans this season, and I think they can beat a weak New York defense.

The Jets allow the most yards per play in the NFL this season and the Texans are coming off a huge win over the Tennessee Titans. I like Houston at home in this game. -- Peter Dewey

New England Patriots

The Tennessee Titans got exposed this past week against the Houston Texans, losing 22-13 at home. The Titans are still trying to find their identity now that Derrick Henry is going to be out for the foreseeable future. New England is fully in its groove and with the defense stopping anything put in front of them and Mac Jones coming into his own, they are a complete team. Unless the Titans reinvent themselves, Bill Belichick will have the perfect game plan to take them down. -- Donnavan Smoot
