Who doesn’t love a good trend?

As we close the book on Week 1 of the NFL season, it’s time to look ahead to Week 2. What comes with that is a few interesting betting trends that you should consider when placing your money on the upcoming slate of games.

Here are the top three most wild betting trends heading into NFL Week 2.

Houston Texans vs Cleveland Browns -12.5 | Over/Under 48

The Under is 9-1 in the last 10 meetings between the Texans and Browns

After the Cleveland Browns played the Kansas City Chiefs in a 33-29 shootout and Week 1 and the Houston Texans played to a combined 58 points with the Jacksonville Jaguars, you may think the over is the play when the Browns and Texans play in Week 2 action.

This trend would say the opposite.

In the last 10 meetings between these two teams dating back to 2005, the under has gone 9-1. The last time the two teams met was in Week 10 last year when the Browns won 10-7, combining for a total of 17 points.

The total is set at 48 points for their game this weekend.

New England Patriots vs New York Jets +5.5 | Over/Under 43

The Patriots are 23-11-1 against the spread in their last 35 games after a loss.

Bill Belichick is arguably the best coach in NFL history for a reason. Not only do the Patriots normally bounce back after a win, but they do it in dominant fashion. Over their last 35 losses, the Patriots came back to cover the spread in the following week 23 times which is a rate of 65.71%.

The Patriots are 5.5-point road favorites against the Jets in Week 2.

San Francisco 49ers vs Philadelphia Eagles +3.5 | Over/Under 50

The Eagles are 8-1 against the spread in their last nine games against the 49ers

In one of the few matchups between two 1-0 teams in Week 2, the Philadelphia Eagles are set to host the San Francisco 49ers as 3.5-point underdogs on WynnBET.

The Eagles have had a lot of success against the 49ers in recent history. They’re 7-2 straight up and 8-1 against the spread in their last nine meetings with San Francisco dating back to 2002.

The Eagles upset the 49ers on Sunday night football in Week 4 last season, beating them outright as 8.5-point favorites.
