We’re almost at the halfway point of the NFL season, so if your Survivor Pool entry is still alive, you’re better than most of us for making it this far.

One way to guarantee that you’d be in this spot is by tailing BetSided’s Reed Wallach, who has hit on eight straight picks in Survivor and has his play for Week 9 locked in.

Last week, the Atlanta Falcons and Dallas Cowboys came through for the team, and we’re looking for a perfect showing in Week 9.

Here are our best picks for Survivor Pools in Week 9:

NFL Week 8 Survivor Pool Pick Results

  • Reed Wallach: Dallas Cowboys (W)
  • Iain MacMillan: Atlanta Falcons (W)
  • Ben Heisler: Atlanta Falcons (W)
  • Donnavan Smoot: Atlanta Falcons (W)
  • Peter Dewey: Jacksonville Jaguars (L)

NFL Week 9 Survivor Pool Picks

Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City is coming off a bye while the Tennessee Titans steamrolled past a hapless Houston Texans defense. It didn't matter that the Titans started Malik Willis and he underwhelmed in his first start in place of an injured Ryan Tannehill, but quarterback play is going to be important on Sunday night at Arrowhead against the Chiefs offense.

It will either be a banged up Tannehill who is battling a high ankle sprain or Willis, who had 10 pass attempts. I'm going to trust the Chiefs off a bye to take care of business at home. – Reed Wallach

Philadelphia Eagles

Let’s get our survivor pick out of the way this week. No waiting until Sunday for us, as we’re backing the Philadelphia Eagles to go into Houston on Thursday Night and walk away with the win. Philly has a top three scoring offense and the fourth-best scoring defense.

The Eagles run the ball at a high level, which is great considering the Houston Texans have the worst run defense in the league. The Eagles have dominated weak competition all season long. Expect them to do it again. – Donnavan Smoot

The Philadelphia Eagles have an easier schedule the rest of the 2022 season, but I want to guarantee myself that I’d make it to the second half of the season and take Philly in this spot.

The Eagles are undefeated and taking on a Texans team that has struggled to score all season long, barely mustering 10 points in Week 8.

Davis Mills is going to be seeing ghosts against this secondary, and the Eagles’ pass rush is even better with Robert Quinn in the fold. Don’t overthink this Survivor selection. – Peter Dewey

Cincinnati Bengals

Forget what you saw on Monday Night Football, and let's ride the Cincinnati Bengals to take down the lowly Carolina Panthers

Carolina may have looked feisty over the past few weeks, but make no mistake about it, the Panthers are still one of the worst teams in the NFL after firing their coach, starting P.J. Walker, and trading away two of their offensive weapons in Christian McCaffrey and Robbie Anderson.

On the flip side of things, the Bengals are much better than they looked on Monday night. On the bright side, they won't need to worry about the pass rush of the Panthers, and their defense is well-equipped to slow down Carolina's offense. There are some other, more enticing, teams to take like the Buffalo Bills against the New York Jets or the Kansas City Chiefs against the Titans, but I think this is the best time this season to gamble on the Bengals. – Iain MacMillan

New England Patriots

It's now or never for the New England Patriots when they host the fading Indianapolis Colts in Foxboro this Sunday.

Sam Ehlinger makes his first NFL start on the road in one of the toughest environments in football, against the best coach of the last 20-plus years in Bill Belichick. While not a rookie, Belichick has dominated first-year quarterbacks over his career, going 24-6 versus rookie signal-callers, and 14-0 in New England.

The Patriots' quarterback controversy appears to be in the rearview mirror for now, and while the Colts' defense can allow them to hang around, there's just too many injuries and too many loose ends for them to pull off the upset this week.

Let your remaining Survivor entries take the Eagles on Thursday, or the Bills or Chiefs on Sunday. We'll get those powerhouse teams later on when it matters most. -- Ben Heisler
