Two former NFL MVP's saw their odds move up the board after both quarterbacks took home some hardware.

This morning, the NFL named Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady along with Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson as this week's NFC and AFC Offensive Players of the Week.

The Bucs won easily over the Miami Dolphins 45-17, covering the 10-point spread. In the game, Brady completed 30 of 41 passes for 411 yards and five touchdowns. Via NFL.com, it's the first time in the 44-year old quarterback's career of 351 total games that he passed for over 400 yards and five-plus touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Jackson helped the Ravens come back down 22-3 and 25-9 in the fourth quarter to stun the Indianapolis Colts in Baltimore in a 31-25 overtime victory. Jackson completed 37 of his 43 passes for 442 yards and four touchdowns. His 442 passing yards were the most thrown in Ravens team history, and he also added in 62 yards rushing to give him more than 500 total yards of offense for the evening.

Despite the win, the Ravens failed to cover the 6.5-point spread, falling to 2-3 ATS this season.

Is it too late to bet on Tom Brady, Lamar Jackson for NFL MVP?

While it's certainly not too late, the most opportune value to buy at the lowest price on both quarterbacks has passed.

Brady at WynnBET Sportsbook is third behind Kyler Murray and Justin Herbert (+400) at +600 odds to win the MVP after opening the season at +1000. The seven-time Super Bowl champion is second in touchdown passes this season to Patrick Mahomes and leads the NFL in passing yards with 1,767. The Bucs are tied for the shortest Super Bowl odds with the Buffalo Bills at +550.

Meanwhile, Jackson's MVP campaign took a massive jump forward after Monday night, moving up at WynnBET from +2000 to +1200. The 2019 MVP still leads all quarterbacks by a wide margin in rushing with 341 yards through five games, has 10 total touchdowns, and the Ravens are in first place in the AFC North division as -135 favorites.

While Brady's opportunity to buy low may be gone, our Peter Dewey believes Jackson remains a smart investment if you jump on board now.

This week, Tampa Bay is a seven-point road favorite at Philadelphia on Thursday Night Football. Meanwhile, Baltimore hosts the 4-1 Los Angeles Chargers in Baltimore on Sunday afternoon as three-point home favorites.
