Week 8 of the NFL season is here, which means I have more wild wagering trends for you to consider.

If you blindly backed the top three trends last week, you would have gone a respectable 2-1. The outlier was that the New York Giants, who have been a popular team to talk about in these pieces, managed to buck the trend and actually cover the spread (and win) on their home field.

Here are the top betting trends for the Week 8 slate. Any and all odds listed are via WynnBET Sportsbook.

Steelers vs. Browns -3.5 | Over/Under 42.5

The UNDER is 21-8-1 in the Steelers last 30 road games.

One of the most profitable trends to back in recent NFL history is UNDERS in Pittsburgh Steelers road games. When away from their home stadium, the under is 21-8-1 (70%) dating back to October 29th, 2017.

With them playing the Browns in Cleveland this weekend, you may want to consider taking the under at 42.5.

Panthers vs. Falcons -2.5 | Over/Under 46.5

The Falcons are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games vs Panthers

The Falcons have gotten the better of the Panthers the majority of the time these two NFC South teams have met the past handful of years. In fact, this run began back on Dec. 27 (my birthday, no big deal), 2015 when the Panthers' perfect season was ruined by the Falcons when they lost to them 7-point road favorites.

Starting with that game, the Falcons have gone 9-2 both straight up and against the spread against Carolina heading into their first meeting in 2021. The Falcons are set as 2.5-point road favorites this weekend.

Patriots vs. Chargers -6 | Over/Under 49

The Patriots are 12-4 ATS all-time against the Chargers

The Patriots are 12-4 against the spread all-time against the Chargers. Or at least, for as long as we’ve had betting information which is 1994. This also includes covering the spread in six straight games dating back to 2010.

The Chargers haven’t beat or covered against the Patriots since Oct. 12, 2008 when they took them down by a score of 30-10. Ironically, they were six point-favorites at home in that game. This weekend, they find themselves in the exact same spot, six-point home favorites.
