If Notre Dame was hoping to turn things around in the second half, they got off to a horrendous start. Alabama Crimson Tide defensive back Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix — how is that for an awesome name? — came across the field and snagged a pass that was tipped by teammate Dee Milliner before falling out of bounds.
It was incredible awareness and body control by Clinton-Dix to complete the catch. It is plays like this that have earned him the distinction of being considered the top safety in the 2014 NFL Draft class.
