Dallas Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins is looking for a fresh start and could generate a lot of interest on the free agent market, but it will not be from the Cowboys. Per ESPN Dallas’ Calvin Watkins, the Cowboys are not expected to bring back Jenkins, but he is generating interest from a number of clubs — just not the team that drafted him.

A fresh start could be exactly what Jenkins needs to revive his career.

Jenkins made the Pro Bowl in 2009 and has 48 career starts. With the Cowboys adding Morris Claiborne in last year’s draft and Brandon Carr during the free agency period a year ago, the 2008 first-round pick is no longer a necessary asset in the Cowboys secondary.
