The Kansas City Chiefs aren’t done making moves in free agency yet. The cornerback market has been slow to develop, but it is now beginning to heat up and the Chiefs could be in hot pursuit of a player they were linked to heading in to the free agency period.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

If the Chiefs can find a way to land Smith, who is one of the top cornerbacks available on the open market, then their impressive offseason will continue. The addition of Smith could allow the team to move recently signed Dunta Robinson to safety next to Eric Berry with Smith lining up opposite Brandon Flowers on the outside.

With the Broncos signing of Wes Welker, the Chiefs would benefit from adding more talent to their secondary.
