With the 28th pick in the draft, the Denver Broncos select Bjoern Werner, Defensive End, Florida State.

There aren’t many needs for one of the Superbowl favorites heading into the 2013 season, but help at the defensive end position might be the biggest need for the Denver Broncos. The Berlin Native made the decision to declare for the draft after playing three strong seasons in the ACC. He will help Denver overcome the loss of Elvis Dumervil and provide a solid pass rush for an already great defense.

His quickness and explosiveness off the ball will fit right into Jack Del Rios defensive scheme. A player comparable to Chris Long will make an immediate impact and be a steal if he’s able to slip past teams in need of a defensive end such as the New York Giants.
