While the Dallas Cowboys added match up nightmare Gavin Escobar to their arsenal, the division rival Washington Redskins countered with the selection of North Carolina State defensive back David Amerson. Heading in to the season, Amerson was considered a top ten talent.

After a few struggles early in the season, Amerson plummeted down draft boards.

His draft stock quickly jumped back up after an incredible performance at the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine and the Redskins were comfortable making him their pick. If Amerson can return to his 2011 form, this is a steal for Washington. He has the size and skill set to develop in to a starting corner.
