NFL Draft 2013: Manti Te’o Selected by San Diego Chargers

The long wait for Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o is finally over. After selecting offensive tackle DJ Fluker in the first-round, the San Diego Chargers traded up and addressed a need in the middle of their defense by selecting the Notre Dame product. In the trade, the Chargers sent No. 110 overall pick to the Arizona Cardinals.

For Te’o, his instincts are his real strength.

We all knew that Te’o was not the biggest or best athlete, but he is a very intelligent player that always has his nose around the ball. The Chargers and their fans are going to be very pleased with the addition of the Heisman Trophy runner up.
