When the Chicago Blackhawks started their series against the Detroit Red Wings, not a lot of people thought the game would reach a sixth game. Something that was even less expected was the fact that the Blackhawks would be down a game and fighting for their playoff lives in that sixth game in the series.

Detroit has shown the ability to slow Chicago’s offensive attack in the series and netminder Jimmy Howard has looked like the best there is in the postseason. Jonathan Quick and Henrik Lundqvist have already had years of playoff success but Detroit’s netminder has burst onto the scene this year and will be the sole reason an upset happens should it indeed happen.

But while the Red Wings raced out to a 3-1 series lead, beating the Blackhawks — actually an angry Blackhawks team — is easier said than done.
