LeBron James had a poor offensive showing by his standards in game 2, but still managed to have a huge impact on the game, whether it was finding his teammates for open shots or making highlight reel blocks on the defensive end.

The San Antonio Spurs had a glaringly obvious game plan which was to limit and frustrate the Miami Heat superstar. Every time James tried to create looks for himself in pick and rolls or off the dribble, the Spurs sent help and either forced tough looks or made LeBron give the ball up. Despite being ice-cold in the first half, James continued to initiate Miami’s offense and found open teammates. The results were fantastic — Mario Chalmers, Mike Miller and Ray Allen combined for 41 points and the trio shot 8-12 from beyond the 3-point line.

After the game, James acknowledged the Spurs’ efforts and asserted that he will continue trusting his teammates no matter what:

"“Well, I mean I already know what we have here, and like I said I don’t really read into it of what people want more of me or whatever the case may be. I will continue to find my shooters if they’re open. And I will continue to put pressure on a defense if I draw two, I will find my shooters and I have confidence they’ll knock them down. They did that tonight, Ray, Mike Miller, Rio made big plays after big plays for us.”"

James really didn’t look like himself for the majority of game 2, but still lifted his team in a must-win game. As LeBron pointed out, moving the ball can become contagious, and that was certainly on full display, as the whole Heat team started making the extra pass in order to create better shot opportunities.
