The Phoenix Suns have undergone some big changes this offseason which means it’s only fitting that they unveil a new logo to represent the new era in the franchise’s history. According to AZCentral.com, the Suns won’t be unveiling the new uniforms officially until September but they have shown off their new logo which is sure to excite fans.

Phoenix will still use their older logo it seems but they’ve create a new ‘S’ shaped logo that seems to be in the vein of Superman. Fans can only hope that the team that is being constructed now can be super, but the at the very least the new logo they’ll be rocking suggests their a cooler team then they have been in the recent past.

This new logo will be followed by the continuation of the color scheme the Suns have been trying t go with for the past season. As AZCentral.com points out, the Suns tried to bleed purple out of their scheme and increased the amount of orange in the team’s uniforms and merchandise. It only makes sense, considering the sun really isn’t traditionally purple.

Whatever new logos the Suns plan on unveiling will be secondary logos behind their current and original logo, but one new thing coming will be the use of sleeves on their uniforms. The Golden State Warriors unveiled sleeved uniforms last season and it now looks like more teams will be using them in their jersey rotation.

It’s clear though that the Suns are moving in a new direction and that’s not limited to moves with the general manager and head coach. They have  new uniforms on the way, and fans can only hope they’ll fill them out.
