In an effort to help their fans see more winning in 2013, the Jacksonville Jaguars are considering broadcasting the NFL RedZone Channel throughout the game on their jumbo trons inside EverBank Field.

Jaguars President Mark Lamping said, it would just be a portion of the 16,626 square feet screen that airs the channel.

“We know this would be welcomed by the large portion of our fans who are transplants to Jacksonville, as well as all fantasy football enthusiasts,” Lamping told the SportsBusiness Journal, via ProFootballTalk.

Nothing says let’s engage our fans like airing other actual NFL games live during your team’s game. So much for home field advantage in Jacksonville.

Their spin as a way to help out fantasy fans is silly at best. A fantasy football enthusiast isn’t going to go to Jaguars games all of the sudden to watch NFL RedZone. Not with ticket prices and how hard it is to get cell service at NFL games.

They’d still choose their couch or any local sports bar and save the money.

Good luck bringing in future free agents to play in front of that crowd.
