Denver Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker has a new running mate at the position thanks to the addition of former New England Patriots star Wes Welker joining the team, but apparently that won’t stop the franchise from giving Decker the big bucks.

Mike Klis of The Denver Post reports that Decker should see a very big deal from the team in 2014:

"Decker was a third-round draft pick in 2010, so he played on a $540,000 salary in 2012, when he had 85 catches. Don’t feel too sorry for Decker, though. With the leverage of free agency after this season, another productive year will put him in position to receive a rich, multiyear contract extension from the Broncos starting in 2014. And he’s the star of an E! Network reality show, along with his wife Jessie James. The show is scheduled to air its first program in late summer, or just in time for his teammates to gather in the locker room and critique it."

It’s great news for Decker, who is going to have his production possibly cut in half next season thanks to the addition of Welker. Welker may not be around much longer, but Decker will be considering he is only 26 years of age.

Decker is going to see some nice cash after next season, regardless of whether or not he has a down year.
