The NFL and HBO have reached a multi-year deal to keep making the training camp documentary show known as “Hard Knocks.”

From NFL.com:

"Fans of HBO’s “Hard Knocks” got great news this year when the network announced the Cincinnati Bengals as the next team to be featured on the awesome NFL Films documentary series about training camp.NFL Films delivered more great news at a press conference with coach Marvin Lewis on Thursday. NFL Films has signed a multi-year contract extension with HBO to continue making the show."

“It’s always been tough (to find teams),” NFL Films Senior Coordinating Producer Ross Ketover said.

Teams are always hesitant to invite cameras into their relatively private training camps and moments. But a team always steps up, this year it’s the Bengals.

“I think the organization is excited to be part of it again,” Lewis said Thursday according to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer. “People have asked why? From standpoint of fans they had a great opportunity to get to know the players when we did it four years ago. From standpoint of coaches we have to go out and win games.”

It didn’t hurt the Bengals last time they’re were on the show in 2009. They went 10-6 that season.
