While NFL teams are frantically trying to get deals done ahead of training camp, two sides aren’t even talking. The Arizona Cardinals and their first round draft pick (#7 overall) aren’t even communicating.

Their training camp starts this Friday.

And neither side has been really talkative in the media. It is unknown whether offset language is an issue. Cooper hasn’t even publicly addressed his potential hold out situation. We saw the Miami Dolphin’s #1 draft pick, Dion Jordan, vow to not hold out of camp even with out a deal.

Ultimately, Dion Jordan and his agent got a deal before the beginning of training camp.

Of course maybe his face in that picture says it all.

From Pro Football Talk:

"Cooper was omitted because it’s not known whether offset language will be an issue.  And it’s not known whether offset language will be an issue because no substantive talks have occurred between the two sides.Per a source with knowledge of the talks, there has been only limited engagement between the team and the player, with nothing happening right now.Time is running out.  The Cardinals open camp with practice on Friday, July 26."
