While multiple players await their suspensions in relation to the Biogenesis case, it looks like federal investigators are about to get involved with a look of their own into the Miami steroid clinic. News of the federal probe surfaced today and comes just shortly after former employee Porter Fischer said in multiple interviews that it was more than Major League Baseball players that were frequenting the drug clinic.

From the Miami Herald:

"A federal criminal probe is under way into whether the owner of a South Florida anti-aging clinic illegally sold controlled substances to high schoolers in addition to major league ballplayers and other professional athletes, the Miami Herald has learned."

Fischer said that, other than baseball players, mixed martial artists, boxers, NBA players and even tennis players were clients of Biogenesis, so we could be learning a lot more about the names of the clientele once the federal probe is in full swing.

If the BALCO investigation is a good reference, we could be seeing many of these players in front of a grand jury as the investigators look to get to the bottom of things.

This could just be the tip of the iceberg, so buckle up and get ready for the ride.
