Denver Broncos linebacker  Von Miller was hit with a four game suspension earlier this summer for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Miller has remained adamant that he has done nothing wrong and that the suspension will be overturned.

“I’m confident about it. Everybody is confident about it,” Miller said, via Mike Klis of the Denver Post. “I think my situation is different. I’m just looking forward to getting a resolution and getting it out of the way. It’s tough enough to play football as it is, let alone when you have all this other stuff going on.”

There were reports earlier this summer that the Broncos felt like Miller’s suspension would be overturned. Miller will meet with league officials next Thursday for his appeal.

There haven’t been many details about what caused the supension. There was one report that it wasn’t for a failed drug test. Because of prior violations regarding his marijuana use he is in a program and can be disciplined for other infractions like missing a test.

A ruling on the appeal will come before the Broncos open the season against the Baltimore Ravens on September 5th.
