Kyrie Irving isn’t worried about contract extension

According to Bob Finnan on Twitter, Cleveland Cavaliers star point guard Kyrie Irving said he’s not worried about receiving a contract extension in light of John Wall’s new max contract with the Washington Wizards.
Irving recently dismissed a rumor that he was looking to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers when his contract was up. I’m sure the fans of Cleveland let out a sigh of relief, hoping he wouldn’t do them like LeBron James did a few seasons ago.
The superstar said today that he’s excited about what the Cavaliers did during the off-season, which included them drafting Anthony Bennett with their No. 1 overall pick in the draft and signing free agents Jarrett Jack and former Los Angeles Laker, Philadelphia 76ers center Andrew Bynum.
Let’s just hope Andrew Bynum is able to dress and play for this team, instead of missing the entire season like he did in Philadelphia after the Lakers traded him to acquire Dwight Howard. I just cringed while typing Howard’s name.
Just because Irving hasn’t asked for or received a contract extension yet, doesn’t mean he won’t get one. I think he gets a John Wall contract next off-season.
