As for outside linebacker Akeem Ayers also left the 27-19 loss to the Bengals with an ankle injury. He made his way to the sideline, but he was carted to the locker room, and Titans Head Coach Mike Munchak later revealed the injury appeared to be a bruise, and that he expects both Ayers and Wright on be on the field when the team opens the regular-season against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Heading into training camp, Titans Defensive Coordinator Jerry Gray predicted a breakout season for Ayers, who was Tennessee’s leading tackler last season, and he can certainly live up to those expectations now that it appears he’ll be on the field when Week 1 kicks-off.
