Did you attend today’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays? If you’re just like me, you probably didn’t, and that stinks for us. The Yankees are offering free tickets for those who were able to bear with the rain and poor weather that occurred during tonight’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays

Offers like this happen often throughout the league, but it hasn’t happened with a team that has been under as much pressure as they are right now. So if you went to the game tonight, make sure you read this notice that came right from the Yankees themselves.

"The Yankees would like to reward all fans who have valid tickets for today’s game, including those fans who attended the game and braved the inclement weather, with a free ticket offer.Fans may redeem their valid August 22, 2013, tickets – regardless of whether they were used to attend today’s game – for a free Grandstand Level or Terrace Level ticket at Yankee Stadium to any of the games against the Chicago White Sox (September 2, September 3 or September 4, 2013), subject to availability.Alternatively, fans may choose to use today’s valid tickets as a coupon for 50 percent off the purchase price of a ticket in any other non-Suite seating location to one of the games against the Chicago White Sox, subject to availability. Please note that the Yankees can only accept tickets with valid bar codes for the August 22, 2013, game.Tickets can be redeemed or presented as a coupon at Yankee Stadium Ticket Windows only starting tomorrow, August 23, 2013, at 10 a.m. (open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and until two (2) hours after the scheduled start time of any regularly scheduled home game)."

If you went to the game tonight, here’s my advice, get the free tickets! Obviously it sounds like a no-brainer, but it’s been an up and down year for the Yankees. With Mariano’s last season, and A-Ro(i)d’s looming suspension following this year, it could be the last time you see either of these two players play baseball for a while, or ever in Rivera’s case.
