The New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys are opening up the season against one another yet again. Last year the Cowboys stunned the defending champs in the MetLife Stadium with a win, this year the Dallas Cowboys are looking to end the Giants dominance (4-0) in their new stadium.

Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is listed as questionable on the injury report after having back surgery 12 months ago. According to Pro Football Talk, JPP is a game-time decision.

"Per a source with knowledge of the situation, it’s truly a game-time decision, with Pierre-Paul currently on the borderline to play.  His availability will depend largely on how he feels during pre-game warmups.Likewise, his ability to stay in the game will depend on how he feels once he starts playing."

If Jason Pierre-Paul couldn’t go it wouldn’t be necessarily a huge loss given how banged up the interior of the Cowboys’ offensive line is. Surely having JPP in there to help his lineman exploit this weakness would be ideal.

“I am getting better and better every day,” Pierre-Paul said. “I got to get my conditioning up and that is the main part of my game. Still on track. By Friday I should know if I am playing or not.”

JPP doesn’t want a limited role either.

“On this team, I feel it is a big thing for me to take most of the snaps,” said Pierre-Paul, via ESPN. “[Twenty snaps] is not enough. When it comes to games, I want to be a big factor.

“I don’t want to put myself out there and I only do 20 snaps and those 20 snaps (don’t) really count to winning the game, know what I am saying? I am not a third-down guy only. I like to go out there and take all the snaps if I can.”
