New Jersey governor Chris Christie let it be known that he was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and that he would be rooting for “America’s Team” during their Sunday Night Football match up against the New York Giants, despite the fact that the G-Men play in his home state.

Before the game, Christie spoke about his love for the Cowboys and how he imagined they would take home the win.

“Maybe some other people can be disloyal, but I can’t. I’m for loyalty and I root for the Cowboys. And … when I am there on Sunday night, I will root for the Cowboys,” he said, via Mary-Ann Spoto of the Newark-Star Ledger . “If the Cowboys play like they’ve played the last four times at home against the Giants, all the Giants fans will be really happy.”

During the first half of the game, the camera shot up to Jerry Jones’ owner’s box and, sure enough, Christie was sitting next to his pal at the game.

It’s an odd friendship, but powerful people love to stick together, especially when they both share the same bro love for the Dallas Cowboys.
